Visit Girona
Cultural activities to discover the city and its surroundings

Visit Girona

Girona, the City of the Four Rivers, has a wealth of sights to offer the visitor, beginning with the old Jewish quarter (El Call), the heart of Girona's history, still beating with cultural life, its streets full of shops and restaurants, and also home to the city's most important architectural treasures. The Cathedral, the Arab Baths, the churches of Sant Feliu, Sant Pere de Galligans and Sant Domènech, and the city wall, which can still be walked today, make Girona a city of outstanding heritage.
Our museums (the City Museum, Museum of History and Museum of Cinema), our parks and gardens (such as La Devesa, the German Garden and the French Garden) round off the list of Girona's charms. And while you visit the city you can be sure of dining to the highest standard, in restaurants recommended by international connoisseurs.

Girona Province

Whether you are interested in sightseeing, cultural activities, beautiful countryside or fine food, the province of Girona has something to offer. It is a land blessed with sea and mountains, valleys and highlands.
You can follow the Salvador Dalí trail through Port Lligat, Cadaqués and Figueres, or follow in the literary footsteps of Josep Plà through Palafrugell and S'Agaró. Enjoy the distinctive cuisine of the volcanic region of La Garrotxa, or take a dramatic train ride up to the mountain sanctuary of Núria. And then there are the sporting opportunities available throughout the province: sailing, cycling, climbing, skiing…

La Costa Brava

The Costa Brava is the name given to the coast between Cap de Creus in the north and Blanes in the south. Its quiet beaches, set against beautiful mountain landscapes, make it an area of unique charm. Its peaceful towns and fishing villages contain a wealth of history, represented by both fine buildings and traditional local festivals.
This dramatic coastline is also home to such sun-blessed seaside towns as Cadaqués, Roses, l'Escala, Llafranc, Calella de Palafrugell and Palamós.

Leisure Activities

The area enjoys a marvellously wide range of leisure activities, making it the perfect holiday destination. Within just thirty minutes of the hotel you can choose from golf (eight different courses), diving, windsurfing, sailing, horse riding, cycling, hiking, parachuting and more.
